Hello everyone- Hope you are all having a great season! I am doing pretty good. Just busy burning my days like I have all year with work, family, friends, committee work and pottery.
YES! I am still taking pottery classes, which have morphed more into free studio sessions each Monday. My aspiration one day is to have a She-Pottery-Shed to make all of my beautiful…messes. 😉
So. Today. I felt like drafting out all that I am grateful for this year. I like doing this every year as we head into Thanksgiving. Gratitude, for me, is a lens that turns even the toughest days into reminders of how much I have to hold onto. Most of all, being grateful for my life- embracing the ordinary, extraordinary and all imperfections.
I have had a challenging year, guys. Lots that I haven’t shared, because I sit back sometimes thinking ‘eh why share this on my blog?’. But maybe I should? Idk but anyways, even with these moments testing my strength, and resilience, they also reminded me of the depth of love I have in my heart. See?- this is why I put my grateful thoughts together.
And here are my thoughts for this year:
What I am Grateful for….
First and foremost, I’m grateful for health—my own, my children’s, and my husband’s. In a world where this is not guaranteed, it is a gift that I try never to take for granted.
For my children who are the light of my heart. Having them home together right now makes me feel happy. Whole. And all around level.
For my husband, ever loving and helpful, who continues to be my steadfast partner, grounding me with his strength and kindness. His great height. Great humor. Sweet intentions, and incredible character. 😊
Our home, warm and welcoming, is a place I’m endlessly thankful to return to each day.
Then there’s Jack, my sweet black cat, and best pal. His purrs and affectionate nature make my days bright. He is my lil lovable shadow.
For when waking up early stopped hurting my soul because I could see the rosy skies glow through the trees outside my bedroom window.
For those quiet moments with a warm coffee mug in my hands. That simple peace of knowing that, even on the hard days, love is always there. As well, as coffee.
😊
Well there’s my list. Lots of wonderful people, feelings and experiences to be grateful for. Not too shabby.
Guys, I hope you find moments of joy and gratitude this season too, no matter where you are in your journey. Look towards the light. May your heart be full, your table abundant, and your home warm with love.
Happy Thanksgiving, from my family to yours.
till next time xo
Hi Valeria, I love your post! It’s good to see you back, and may God continue to bless you and your beautiful family! Have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas too. 😊❤️🙏🏻
Thanks John! You are so thoughtful-always.
Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving tomorrow and a great start to the Christmas season as well. I can’t believe we are already here!
Take care. 💕🙏🏻
Thank you, Valeria! ❤️ I just got back from Michigan, we had our family Christmas and Thanksgiving together due to my dad passing last July. My sister is executor and is super busy.
Does this mean you get double holidays, in Michigan and Las Vegas??
Oh no, My Thanksgiving and Christmas are already done for the year, Valeria. my birthday is next month though, very close to Christmas!
Will you be doing anything special for your birthday?
I have heard that December borns are the best people around.
Aw thank you! Actually, I am by myself here, Valeria. I was married when we got here in 2013, that ended in 2016 and I have chosen to not date or marry again. This is how the dice rolled…
That’s a lot to go through. Well. Here’s an early bday cheer: here’s to this chapter bringing you peace, joy, and the freedom to focus on what truly makes you happy.😊 happy early bday!
Thank you so much, Valeria! You are so kind. ❤️ If I were to have any relationship, it would have to happen organically. 😂
