I See France.. days 6 & 7

Hello everyone! How are you??

Before I start on days 6&7, I want to update you guys on the fact that we started planning this trip to Paris as my husband had to go for work… just two days. Which ballooned into seventeen days, because I wanted a beach vacation and he wanted an exploring vacation. This is compromise, people. So days 6&7, were his two days in the office. He would work until 4:30/5P, then we would meet back up with him at the hotel to go out for the night.

Great two days being French Girls in the city. ❤️

Let’s get to it.

July 10- Day 6 – ‘Valeria, Ava and Olivia in Paris’

Today was an enchanting all girls’ day, filled with the spirit of “Emily in Paris”-A very popular show on Netflix. We ventured to the Place de L’Estrapade, in the Fifth Quarter where the show is filmed, to immerse ourselves on an unofficial tour of the show. The whole experience was fun- we visited Emily’s neighborhood where her apartment complex, Gabriel’s restaurant and the bakery where she gets croissants all reside.

We posed by the fountain and reminisced about Emily’s birthday bash in the square, capturing moments as we relished the buzz of fellow fans around us. So many people swinging by to take pictures. It was crazy.

It was exactly as it looks on the show!

There was a cute café right across from the Square, so we decided to get a few drinks and enjoy the atmosphere. It was a great refreshing rest.

Gah Paris is just amazing. Anywhere you go, everything is beautiful and has a history. Amazing.

We decided to leave to find food, and I had seen a very charming square on our drive to the show’s filming spots, which we walked back to, and that led us to a delightful lunch at a restaurant. We grabbed some avocado toast, and of course, french fries, drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. It was just such a beautiful afternoon. We felt straight out of a Parisian storybook.

Our exploration continued as we went to stroll, we past so many historic sights on our way to the enchanting Luxembourg Gardens, a true spectacle of beauty. The day was getting hotter, and it was overwhelming walking around-it was even hotter in the park, so we took advantage of sitting shade side for a bit in the park then decided it was time to head back to the hotel. Thank the Lord for Uber.

Back at the hotel, after taking some cool showers, we reunited with my husband then quickly set off for Montmartre in the 18th quarter. Montmartre is the largest peak in Paris, and is where everyone goes to catch the Paris skyline light up at night. It’s a must see. (I loved it so much during our first visit.)

We took the Funicular up to the top but then walked up to the very top where the charming Sacred Heart Basilica’s presence caps this area-inspiring, and the entire area felt like a bustling hub of connection and culture. Our daughters loved this area.

Our day reached its pinnacle as we dined at Chez Plumeau, where an unexpected guest, a collared cat, joined us as our honored guest. The charming feline added a touch of whimsy to our evening, making it a memorable and heartwarming experience. But

Reflecting on this remarkable day, I’m reminded of how Paris has a way of bringing dreams to life and weaving magic into every moment.

July 11- Day 7- Crepes and Towers

The girls and I embarked on an exciting adventure as we explored the charming canal St Martin- in our quarter. We were looking for some good eats and shopping. The area is affordable, safe, eclectic and full of character, lots of diverse shops, making our walk a true delight.

We stopped for a bite of breakfast at the Fleur D’or for bakery items- and bread. We ate so much bread every day! My husband suggested this spot and I know why- it was out of this world good.

Then we made our way to the canal- window shopping all the produce shops along the way. Then we made our way to lunch, which was an absolute blast, filled with laughter and joy. Th people watching in this area was stellar. savored the flavors of delicious food that perfectly complemented the wonderful atmosphere around us. The fun we shared was simply infectious, and it made me appreciate the bonds of friendship even more.

Later in the evening, my husband joined us, and we were whisked away to an enchanting experience. Meeting his work colleagues was a pleasure, and we were introduced to a typical Brittany dinner at La Creperie Brettonne. For crepes! The crepes were exquisite, and the cider, served in traditional mugs, added a special touch that felt like a taste of local Brittany tradition.

As the evening unfolded, our laughter and conversations filled the air, creating memories that I know will stay with us forever.

Eventually, my husband’s colleagues bid us farewell, and our journey led us to one of the most iconic sights in the world – the one the girls have been waiting for… the Eiffel Tower.

Unfortunately, the Trocadero square was closed for renovations, which is where we were going to hang out. It has the best views of the Eiffel Tower against the city, so we ended up walking to the Eiffel Tower instead.

The area was extremely busy, electric. The city was getting ready for their Bastille day celebrations all week so they shut down the area around the Eiffel tower, and limited the tickets that you could purchase to go up to the top of the tower They also fenced off the square in front, so you couldn’t hang out wherever you wanted, you had to be behind a fenced in area. It was still magical and we enjoyed every moment. Standing tall and illuminated against the night sky, the Eiffel Tower was a sight to behold. I couldn’t help but marvel at the sheer beauty of the moment. The romance of it all.

Paris kept enchanting me.

With hearts full of joy and gratitude, we ended our day feeling blessed to have experienced such incredible moments in the heart of Paris together.

Gah what fun! Our girls days in Paris were a huge hit! I am lucky to have such patient, curious and lovely traveling partners like my daughters. We zipped all over the city over these two days and they wanted to see more. I’m so glad to give them the gift of travel because it is a true gift for the soul. Welp, I gotta run!

Thank you for stopping by to catch up! Your support is greatly appreciated and welcome, guys. We have about ten days to go here. So keep buckled up. 😉 .

Until next post, guys. xoxo

  1. The tower is amazing, I love the crazy lights! The food is not like American food is it, but it looks so good! I’m glad you guys had a great time in France.

    1. The food in Paris was fantastic but compared to the South of France it is drastically different. Because we noticed that as we got closer to Italy the influence on food and the culture was apparent and more familiar.
