Will this cold ever go away?! I doped up on Nyquil last night and finally slept 4hr straight! My oldest daughter got ill, too, and started the mission to wake us up every hour; but I am grateful to have gotten those 4hr in a row!
So, I am working from home, like I normally do on Thursday, but it’s been a hectic day so far. My oldest is home sick, she is a peach of a kid and never bothers for a thing. Thankfully my little one is healthy, she was the culprit of this cold last week, but she is being a handful cause her sister’s getting that touch more of attention. As they were hanging out watching TV this morning, I set up a wrapping station upstairs. That’s how I have to do things around here..Secret Agent style. But the secret didn’t last long, as my youngest found me. She helped wrap her teachers’ presents and kept busy with finding random things around the house to wrap with my scrap papers. It’s funny cause it’s exactly what my oldest was doing at her age. So sweet.
Well, we just took a break to have lunch, made them pastina and a side of broccoli (my kids love broccoli). They requested a holiday movie, which they wanted me to pick out.. so A Nightmare Before Christmas it is! (Tim Burton fan!) Now that I have some time before they start requesting snacks and all my attention, I am posting the pics of the tree that I finally finished yesterday…with a little help from my nephew. My Mom, Dad and nephew stopped by for a quick visit late yesterday afternoon, and he was eyeballing the tree so I had him help. He’s a great helper. AND my Mom saw the idea I was putting together for my Holiday cards and she gave me a good suggestion. As I get more cards and I fill it in, I will share it. I’ve done this before when I was a newlywed living in an apartment, but never again. So crossing fingers.
Ok, here are some pics of the tree.
Right after this I am back upstairs to wrap. Tonight I’ll post that caramelized zucchini recipe after the kids are asleep!
Have a great day you guys!
