Hey Guys!!
๐๐ค ๐๐ฅ ๐ฝ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ช ๐ช๐๐ฅ? This was me on Monday. ๐
I cant believe when my last post was uploaded. Shame on me. I wish I could tell you that I have been swamped with work or doing something fantastic but nope. Just bogged down with all the rain melancholy and, my biggest preoccupationโฆ this damn snake. ๐
Meet Domingo the unwanted Snake. We have lived here for 16 years, and I have never seen a snake anywhere. It showed up five days ago, after we had the strongest rains of the stormโฆ and it wonโt leave for good.
Ever since I spotted it outside, I wake up every morning eager to search for this jerk on my front yard from the front window. When I spot it, I cringe about it for the rest of my day. If I donโt see it, I am happy โฆtill I look outside later and it is coiled in my plants. ๐ญ I may have to burn my house down.
I guess I dislike snakes.
I never shared Fourth of July!
It was a super low key Fourth for us. There were no fireworks, or big bash, because of the massive rains. Our yard is not the friendliest in that type of weather. But luckily, and quite possibly we forced it upon him, our best friend offered up his house to our friend group to BBQ and party since his house is humongous. ๐. Jk. He offered to host when I told him about my concerns. He is the best best friend of them all.
We had a great time. We drank and laughed, and even cooked out twice. We also got lucky with a dry sunny spell for two hours outside. Which was great. I didnโt take many pictures. Which is so unlike me.
Our youngest made push pop cupcakes. So cute! I made the holder. Ahem. My patriotic family. Our bestie of besties. He is that cuddly bear Could be why I forgot to take pictures. These were damn good Love ya America!
On the embroidery frontโฆ As you saw, that Fourth embroidery is all I have done lately. I just feel so blah with this grey weather and havenโt been channeling it like I should into being creative. That and itโs Summer, so my brain has gone on vacation. But then my husband walked in from work this week with this huge bag of thread.
A colleague and friend of his, who is connected with me on Facebook – I have known him and his wife for 20+ years. He has been my biggest fan on all the posts I put up about my learning to embroider journey. I post a lot more on FB than any other platform that I am using. One day, a while back, he made a comment to my husband about giving me some of the supplies his wife no longer uses, which I never thought much about. Then two days ago that bag arrived! It was such a great gift and I am truly so appreciative of his kindness.
So, I guess that is the Universeโs way of telling me to start planning on more embroidering. ๐
Thank you guys for reading along. It is always such a great feeling to have support and people who think I am worth the read. โบ๏ธ I always appreciate your support.
Have a great rest of your week! Till next time. xoxo
You are always worth the read, Valeria! Sorry about all the rain up there, I had a FaceTime with my sister in Michigan today, she said the same thing – rain rain rain! If you need a break, pack up the family and visit Las Vegas where it’s still Drought City. If I were still in Michigan, I’d just take a machete to the snake, maybe you should call a pest removal company that will relocate the serpent? Good to see you back! Stay dry…
Thank you, John! Hope youโre going to be alright in the drought. Maybe i can ship you some h20 ๐!
I learned itโs illegal to kill, move or relocate this snake. I mean, I want to do all of the above..except touch it! ๐
